What is the StrollerFit blog all about?

Welcome!

You may be new to StrollerFit, or a mommy veteran - either way, we are excited you are here!

For starters, and those new to StrollerFit, here is an overview on what we are all about.

StrollerFit is an interactive exercise program that helps moms target what we like to call “mommy muscles,” those muscles that are used and abused during labor, delivery and the postpartum day-day care of a baby.

Each class is split into a variety of workouts that focus on cardio, strength training and abdominal work.

And, while us mommies work hard to shed those post-pregnancy pounds, our children are engaged through song, dance and activity, either on the sidelines in their stroller, or on our bellies. As mommies ourselves, we know there is no cuter weight set out there then our little ones!

StrollerFit of Lake Norman is currently offering one class at Bailey Road Park in Cornelius, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

StrollerFit is best designed for moms with children from ages, 6 weeks - 4 years-old.

Each class offers an advanced or modified exercise routine. We are designed for moms of all fitness levels, and our instructors are trained to teach both advanced and modified exercises. We even have a special workout for those mommies who are pregnant. So come one, come all!

To participate in each class, you'll need a sturdy jogging stroller, a Mommymuscle kit, a mat for core exercises, plenty of water and of course, your little one! Snacks and drinks are not provided, so please bring anything your child my need with you.

Whew, I think that covers who we are. Now, lets move on to the purpose of this blog.

Because we are dedicated to our moms by not only improving their health and getting them in shape, we also want to be a community of friends who can lend support, advice or just a good laugh when needed! To do this, we have a MeetUp group called StrollerFriends, you can find us at, http://www.meetup.com/lake-norman-stroller-fit/. All of our meet-ups are designed with the children in mind, and are always a good time for both moms and children to gather and socialize through activity and fun! We'll be posting all of our meet-ups on here as well as on our Meetup sight - so come back often to see what you can get involved in!

As we all know, exercise is only one part of becoming fit. We are also dedicated to helping our moms have a healthy impact on their families. As a part of this blog, we'll be passing along fun and healthy recipe ideas for you to try at home, as well as fitness tips and special exercises you can do outside of class.

So, follow us as we begin a fitness journey like no other! We can promise, it'll be well worth it!
